CofC is incorporating safe recruitment practices for a positive experience with Greek life on campus.

Although there is often a negative light on Greek life, students at The College of Charleston have only positive things to say about their experiences.
Whether it’s from enforcing safe practices or promoting positive examples, Greek Life at CofC is growing in numbers.
Deronda Washington, director for student leadership and fraternity and sorority life at CofC, said The College had a record number of students going through the process of recruitment.
"I think we had about 800 who started the process as far as registration and I believe about 650 women found their home on campus in the same more numbers increased," said Washington. "I think you will continue to see that increase in a good way because more organizations are more visible on campus."
