Longtime downtown second-hand shop keeping vintage alive

Joan Graf, the cool force behind Exchange Factor, has been keeping Charleston stylish for three decades now.

The store on Rivers Avenue has created its own narrative, providing the community an outlet to have fun with clothes and give them new life.

“It is good that the vintage clothes made a comeback because it deserves it," says Graf. "It has a story to tell, it’s got longevity."
